Role: Legal Secretary - Commercial Property
Location: Keighley
Salary: £24,000- 26,000 per annum
Hours: Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00 pm (would consider Part-Time applicants)

Our award winning legal client who boast various office locations within both West and North Yorkshire are seeking a highly organised and proactive Legal Secretary - Commercial Property to join their dynamic team in Keighley. The successful candidate will provide direct support to the Commercial Property Director, enabling them to work at optimal efficiency. This role demands self-management, initiative, and the ability to handle a wide variety of tasks in a fast-paced legal environment.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a legal secretary within commercial / residential property required or similar legal practice.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in audio-typing, word processing, and use of case management systems and online portals.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on client care.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Team Player: Able to work effectively as part of a team while also being capable of using initiative to work independently.
Responsibilities
  • Secretarial Support: Provide full administrative and secretarial support, including preparing correspondence and documents via audio-typing, word processing, online portals, and case management systems.
  • Client Interaction: Liaise with clients in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner, both in person and over the phone, maintaining high standards of client care.
  • Diary & Appointments Management: Arrange meetings, manage diaries, and ensure efficient scheduling of appointments for the Commercial Property Director.
  • Meeting Preparation: Prepare conference rooms for meetings, ensuring they are organised and equipped with necessary refreshments, and clear the room once the meeting is complete.
  • Filing & Documentation: Manage client files in accordance with office procedures, ensuring accurate filing, storage, and retrieval of documents.
  • Team Support: Provide guidance and support to junior and temporary secretarial staff when needed.
  • Confidentiality: Handle all firm and client information with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Training & Development: Take part in any relevant training to ensure continuous professional development.
