Description

We are a long established law firm with offices located in Nowra and Batemans Bay.
We are a thriving and dynamic firm practising primarily in family law, property law (including conveyancing and leasing), wills and estates and general law.
We are searching for a career paralegal/ legal secretary to work closely with the Principal and the team.
We are searching for the right candidate to assist our team. In return, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow and excel significantly in his/her legal career.

About You

  • Previous legal secretary experience - preferably within Real Estate/Conveyancing and general practice.
  • Experience with PEXA is desirable and preferable.
  • Experience with supporting a general legal practice.
  • High attention to detail and level of accuracy in output is essential.

The Role

Your main duties in this role will include:

  • Acting as a first point of contact: dealing with phone calls and Clients;
  • Managing the Principal Lawyer’s emails, phone and messages;
  • Extensive file and diary management;
  • Drafting, preparing and amending court documents and correspondence;
  • Office management;
  • Accounts and billing;
  • Liaising with clients and professionals at all levels;
  • Assisting the Principal Lawyer in all aspects of his professional life.

Pay to commensurate with experience.
The Candidate

To be successful you MUST have:

  • Experience as a Legal Secretary, paralegal or similar;
  • Demonstrated ability to meet competing deadlines and work under pressure;
  • Advanced office skills;
  • Fast and accurate typing speed;
  • Confidence to liaise with professionals at all levels;
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively;
  • Great organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
