JOB SUMMARY

My client are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Conveyancing Secretary to join their dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative support to lawyers and legal professionals, ensuring the smooth operation of the office. This role requires excellent time management skills, proficiency in office software, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2 years Conveyancing Secretary experience within a busy practice
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) is essential.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to legal professionals, including managing schedules and appointments.
  • Prepare and format legal documents, correspondence, and reports using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Conduct audio typing for dictations and transcribe legal documents accurately.
  • Maintain an organised filing system for both electronic and paper documents.
  • Assist in managing case files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
  • Communicate with clients, courts, and other stakeholders in a professional manner.
  • Perform general office duties such as answering phones, managing emails, and coordinating meetings.
