JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills and a thorough understanding of legal terminology and procedures. This role is essential in providing comprehensive support to our legal professionals, ensuring that all documentation is prepared accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • The Legal Secretary role will focus on general secretarial and administrative duties.
    Key responsibilities
  • Audio/copy typing of all correspondence and documents using Microsoft Word and our practice management system with digital dictation systems;
  • Client care including sending out all client care letters, liaising with existing
    clients about ongoing or new matters;
  • Dealing with new client enquiries;
  • Managing incoming written and electronic communication in an accurate and efficient manner and ensuring that appropriate and timely action is taken in response;
  • Receiving telephone calls and taking detailed messages ensuring that they are passed promptly to fee earners.
  • Archiving files as directed by fee earners;
  • Preparing and assembling materials, documents, and exhibits for meetings, court
    appearances, and hearings;
  • Opening and amending new client matters on our practice management system to ensure that all relevant information is entered correctly and kept up-to-date;
  • Assisting other support staff with administrative tasks;
  • Undertaking any other duties as may be reasonably required
