JOB DESCRIPTION - BOTH FULL TIME AND PART TIME (PRO-RATA) CONSIDERED

We have an exciting opportunity for a legal secretary to join our firm.
Applicants must have previous legal secretary experience with strong audio typing and telephone skills.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Answer and process incoming telephone calls quickly and in a polite, helpful and professional manner in keeping with the firm’s excellent standards of client care;
  • Preparation of correspondence and documents (either alone or audio typing) in a speedy and efficient manner. Must be very well organised;
  • Following all office procedures in relation to our LEAP case management system. Maintaining accurate information on the system at all times;
  • Responsible for checking and proof-reading work to ensure there are no spelling mistakes, typos, grammar issues and correct layout is used.
  • Arranging client appointments, meetings and barrister conferences;
  • Entering and/or actioning key tasks on behalf of fee earners . If necessary creating your own tasks to ensure any requests of you are undertaken on time;
  • Keep fee earners fully informed at all times of any relevant issues that may arise;
  • To provide any other administrative support that may be required by the firm.
Responsibilities

The role involves telephone duties, audio typing, use of case management software, preparation of documents, file notes and correspondence, setting/actioning key tasks and diary/file management for key fee earners.
