RESIDENTIAL CONVEYANCING LEGAL SECRETARY / ASSISTANT
Location: Ipswich
Salary: £23,000-27,500
A well-established law firm are seeking a Legal Secretary/Assistant to join their Residential Conveyancing department.
This role involves assisting Residential Property Fee Earners in their day-to-day work by providing support and delivering an efficient secretarial and administrative service.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- At least 2 years of solid property expertise in a Legal Secretary/Assistant role.
- Strong and efficient secretarial and administrative skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Fast, accurate typing ability, ideally using digital audio systems.
- Experience with case management systems (desirable but not essential).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organised with a friendly and professional attitude.
- IT literate – proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Digital Audio software, and Case Management systems.
Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Providing full secretarial support, including using a digital dictation system to produce correspondence and other documentation related to property transactions, from instruction through to post-completion.
- Typing conveyancing forms, including TR1s and TP1s.
- Performing PA duties, such as diary management.
- Maintaining comprehensive and accurate client administration files.
- Undertaking online Land Registry searches and responding to enquiries on behalf of lawyers.
- Assisting with general team administration, including meeting and greeting clients, handling calls, and arranging meeting room bookings.
- Managing post-completion procedures, including SDLT returns and title registrations.
