Description JOB DESCRIPTION – Legal Secretary – Defense Leitner Williams Dooley Napolitan PLLC law firm is a general litigation statewide law firm looking to hire a Legal Secretary for its Chattanooga office. Legal Secretary Job Duties: · Produces information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, and graphics, coordinating case preparation. · File into Document Management System, organize, scan, and fax legal documents · Maintain attorney calendar by planning and scheduling conferences, teleconferences, and travel; recording and monitoring court appearance dates, pleadings and filing requirements with the court ahead of deadlines; monitoring evidence-gathering; anticipating changes in litigation or transaction preparing requirements · Enter attorney billable/nonbillable time and reimbursable expenses; prepare invoices including third party; tracking payments. · Maintains client confidence by keeping client/attorney information confidential. · Proofread and correct prepared materials for correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, format, syntax, and content. · Build and maintain customer relationships with clients and vendors. · Workers’ Comp Filings Job Type: Full-time 8:30am to 5:00 pm M-F Requirements Qualifications and skills: · Associate degree in legal studies or related field preferred · Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications · Typing speed of at least 50 wpm with high rate of accuracy · Able to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines · Excellent written and oral communication skills · Courteous and professional demeanor · Able to work as a team with attorneys
