Description

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a legal secretarial or similar role, supporting a team of solicitors in a busy legal environment.
  • Proficient in the use of legal case management systems.
  • Experience with client billing and legal file management.
  • Strong diary management and organisational skills.
  • High level of technical proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office and document formatting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Responsibilities
  • File Management: Maintain and update legal files, ensuring all documents are accurately imported, filed, and accessible. Assist in preparing and sending formal communications, such as demand letters.

  • Document Production: Draft affidavits, legal correspondence, and other required documentation in line with professional standards.

  • Client Billing: Support the team with the monthly billing process, ensuring invoices are prepared, reviewed, and sent promptly and accurately.
  • Diary Management: Coordinate schedules and appointments, avoiding conflicts and ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Communicate with internal colleagues and external parties, including arranging specialist appointments and obtaining required documentation.
  • Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the legal team, including typing, photocopying, and managing incoming/outgoing correspondence.
  • General Duties: Undertake additional duties as required to support the wider legal team.
