Lister Langley Solicitors is a boutique private practise advising high net worth individuals and corporate clients in the area of tax and estate planning. We work closely with a large number of professional intermediaries across the UK and overseas to devise and implement tax and estate planning strategies designed to meet the specific needs of our clients.
Due to our strong professional connections, high quality client base combined with the increasing volume of work and a desire to expand, we now wish to recruit a Legal Secretary/Legal Assistant who may wish to seek to build a career in the legal profession. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, reliable and trustworthy individual with a hunger to further their knowledge and expertise in the legal profession. The successful candidate will receive a unique hands on working experience with constant exposure to interesting and challenging client situations.

The key duties of this role will include:

  • Working closely with a senior solicitor and director of the firm in the area of Private Client
  • Attending client and professional intermediary meetings including the taking of notes
  • Drafting documents such as Wills, Trusts and Lasting Powers of Attorney
  • Dealing with client enquires over the telephone and in person
  • Undertaking legal research
  • Providing administration support including typing, filing, processing incoming and outgoing post and making travel and other arrangements
