LEGAL SECRETARY - COMMERCIAL PROPERTY
Are you seeking a new opportunity to join a high performing and reputable firm within Shropshire?
We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Legal Secretary to join our Commercial Property team, based at our Shrewsbury office.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and capable individual to join PCB, who is passionate about helping others in the local community and with an aptitude for Property law.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
· A strong understanding of Property law is required,
· Have excellent written and verbal communication skills,
· Be able to work in a collaborative manner with the department and wider firm as well as individually,
· Always retain high levels of confidential information with discretion,
· Be proficient in MS office applications and legal software,
· Be highly organised with the ability to manage several tasks at a time with precise attention to detail.
EXPERIENCE:
· Experience working in a Legal Secretary role is required,
· Experience working in Property/Commercial Property is preferable.
· Audiotyping, drafting and amending correspondence and documentation using the case management system when instructed, with accurate time recording on matters where required,
· Liaise with clients and contacts to assist with answering queries both on email and telephone, providing regular updates to the relevant Lawyer,
· Maintaining calendars across the department with client meetings and key diary dates, keeping the Lawyers updated daily,
· Support Lawyers in the department with the production and submission of client bills,
· Opening and closing files on the case management system, including archiving,
· Attending client meetings with and on behalf of Lawyers in the department, taking detailed notes and instructions on new matters.
