LEGAL SECRETARY – RESIDENTIAL CONVEYANCING

We are seeking a Legal Secretary to join our busy Residential Conveyancing department. We are a friendly team based in central Tunbridge Wells. This role is full time, permanent with opportunity for hybrid working.
This is a broad and varied role, requiring outstanding organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· File opening and closing, including conducting KYC and AML checks
· Preparing draft contracts, submitting search requests and dealing with Land Registry applications
· Using the Firm’s case management system (P4W) to manage matters
· Communicate effectively with clients, estate agents, and other parties involved in the conveyancing process
· Handling general residential enquires

To succeed in this role you must demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Ability to work in strictest confidence
  • Proficient in the use of IT applications including Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook

Expected start date: ASAP
At least 1 year’s prior law firm experience in a similar role is essential.
Hours of work Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30 pm.
