KEY AREAS OF EXPERIENCE:

  • Residential Conveyancing (essential)
  • Litigation (civil and/or commercial)
  • Family/Matrimonial Law (divorce, ancillary relief, children matters)
  • Additional experience in areas such as probate, employment, or personal injury is a bonus

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Legal Secretary
  • Excellent audio typing and digital dictation skills
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and case management systems
  • A professional, friendly, and proactive approach
  • High level of attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise a busy and varied workload independently
    All levels of experience will be considered for this role.
    Salary is commensurate with experience.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are currently seeking a highly experienced and adaptable Legal Secretary to join a busy and well-established legal practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an all-rounder who enjoys variety in their day-to-day work and is confident supporting solicitors across a range of legal disciplines.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in conveyancing, litigation, and matrimonial/family law.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Audio and copy typing of legal documents, correspondence, and forms
  • Opening, closing, and maintaining files in accordance with office procedures
  • Managing diaries, booking appointments, and coordinating meetings
  • Handling incoming calls, emails, and client queries with professionalism and discretion
  • Liaising with clients, courts, solicitors, and external agencies
  • General administrative duties including photocopying, scanning, and filing
