Description

ROLE PURPOSE To partner closely with the business and ensure all legal operations run smoothly, while contributing to the development of a strong legal foundation for future growth and expansion in Vietnam and international markets. KEY RESPONSIBILITY Legal Business Partnering: Provide clear, practical legal advice to support day-to-day business decisions Balance legal risks with commercial priorities Partner with business teams to review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements (including international partners and distributors) External Counsel Coordination: Act as the main contact for external law firms (local and international) Coordinate on legal matters across jurisdictions Monitor timelines, deliverables, and quality of outputs Expansion Activities: In charge of legal aspects of new market entries and international projects Work with external advisors on regulatory and entity setup requirements Be representative from Legal to join strategic expansion project as cross-functional taskforce team Compliance & Risk Control: Ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal policies Identify potential risks in contracts and operations, including cross-border risks, and escalate when needed Maintain and update internal legal and compliance documents Legal Operations & Administration: Manage day-to-day legal operations across the company Maintain and organize legal documentation, templates, and contract database Ensure proper record-keeping and document control, including for cross-border agreements MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in law Minimum 5 years of legal experience (law firm and/or in-house) Practical, business-oriented mindset Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to manage multiple priorities Fluent in English and Vietnamese PREFERABLE REQUIREMENTS Exposure to cross-border or international legal matters Experience in FMCG, retail, or manufacturing environments Experience in improving legal processes and templates
