The Solihull Pub Support Team offices are light and airy offices in Shirley, Solihull, where you will be greeted by our Welcome Team. Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

As Legal Services Coordinator, you will provide first class support to Operational Legal Services to both office and field-based colleagues. This role requires a working knowledge of operational letting agreements as well as familiarity with landlord and tenant legislation.
Working in a fun and fast paced environment, the role is office based and the job holder will be expected to liaise with a number of key areas of the business including field-based operators, legal support, licensing, credit control, sales ledger, compliance, local authorities and solicitors appointed by the Company. In addition, the Legal Services Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the company database is maintained accurately and compliance with legal regulations and company policies is adhered to.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide support to the field in the delivery of solutions to disputes.
  • To liaise with stakeholders i.e. including field-based operators, legal support, licensing, credit control, sales ledger, compliance, local authorities and solicitors appointed by the Company.
  • Undertake review of letting histories, tracing previous tenants and researching tenants, guarantors and previous tenants’ assets
  • Prepare cases summaries
  • Preparation of letters before action in relation to in possession debt
  • Preparation of notices to quit and service of the same
  • Administering the process of peaceable re-entry process
  • Preparation of case files and index sheets
  • Preparing surrender letters
  • Prepare TAW termination letters
  • Notice to Quit acknowledgments and amendments
  • Serving S146 notices
  • Draft and issue Option to Purchase letters
  • Investigate and resolve council tax summonses
  • Amalgamate and distribute monthly litigation reports
  • Undertaking general administration tasks for the in-house solicitor
  • Managing and responding to external queries within the Leased and Tenanted estate
  • Updating company databases accurately and in a timely manner
  • Providing solicitors with updated ledgers and narratives as required
  • Complete ad-hoc tasks/projects as determined by the business
  • Prepare and issue HMRC de-registration applications
