This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and skilled paralegal or junior lawyer to join the Group Legal – Finance team. Our finance team is responsible for supporting Emirates and dnata with all their financing requirements. Experience in aviation finance and/or corporate finance/general banking is preferred. The successful candidate must be able to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail. This role will be reporting to the Assistant General Counsel (Finance).

Responsibilities

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Work closely with (i) internal stakeholders, (ii) commercial counterparties, (iii) external law firms and (iv) government entities.
  • Assist the Assistant General Counsel in reviewing, drafting and negotiating LMA and aircraft financing transaction documentation.
  • Preparing and maintaining conditions precedent checklists and arranging execution thereof.
  • Assist the Assistant General Counsel in identifying and clearly communicating legal and operational risks, and provide practical advice to mitigate such risks.
  • Assist with post-closing formalities, to include internal and external communication.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE, YOU MUST MEET THE BELOW REQUIREMENTS:

  • Recognised paralegal qualification with current certification; or
  • Qualified in a common law jurisdiction (with 1-2 years post qualification experience).
  • Previous experience in a reputable law firm or in-house legal team.
  • If not qualified, paralegal holding 8+ Years.
  • Strong academic background, excellent English language skills and experience with project management.
