Position Summary: Boyd & Jenerette is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Settlement Specialist to support the Firm’s settlement administration process. This role is essential in managing the timely and accurate processing of settlement checks, coordinating with accounting, attorneys, and opposing counsel, and ensuring all supporting documentation is complete. When not processing settlement-related tasks, this position will provide backup support for administrative needs in the office. The ideal candidate is reliable, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail. Location & Commitments: Practice Area / Department: Office Support Status: Part-Time / Non-Exempt Work Schedule: Monday to Friday; 5 hours per day / 25 hours per week (12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.) Work Location: In-Office: This position will report to work at our office in Jacksonville. Responsibilities: Coordinate receipt, processing, and distribution of settlement checks. Work directly with accounting, attorneys, and support staff to ensure accurate and timely settlement disbursements. Track settlement payments and maintain required documentation. Assist with settlement documentation and tracking approval requirements. Serve as backup support for administrative tasks during staff absences. Maintain organized digital files. Manage confidential information with professionalism and care. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements & Competencies: Prior legal, accounting, finance, or administrative experience preferred. Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail. Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel). Effective time management and prioritization skills. Works well independently and in a team environment.
