Greenvolt Power is our segment dedicated to the Development & Construction of utility-scale solar and wind projects. Greenvolt is seeking a skilled Legal Staff who will provide a wide range of legal services and support for Greenvolt Power Group’s operations in Japan, in accordance with the established standards of the legal profession, in order to protect the organization’s reputation and business interests and ensure compliance with all relevant domestic laws and regulations. Additionally, the role will support international legal matters, particularly related to the Group’s planned business expansion across Asia, Key Responsibilities: Corporate Matters within Greenvolt Power Japan and any of its affiliates related to Japan: Drafting, reviewing, and maintaining corporate documents such as minutes of board of directors and shareholders’ meetings, resolutions, and other statutory records. Ensuring timely updates and accuracy of corporate registers and other statutory filings in accordance with Japanese regulations. Supervising and coordinating day-to-day corporate governance matters of Greenvolt Power Japan, including maintenance of internal registers and records of directors and shareholders. Managing corporate correspondence and documentation flow. Handling additional corporate legal assistance as required. Commercial Matters: Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts, including those related to renewable energy project development (solar, BESS, and related infrastructure) within Japan. Providing legal advice on project development, land and real estate matters, procurement, and other commercial transactions. Litigation and Dispute Resolution: Managing disputes, claims, and litigation cases, in cooperation with external counsel as necessary. Regulatory and Compliance: Monitoring changes in Japanese legislation and regulatory requirements and advising the business in advance. Ensuring compliance with applicable Japanese laws and regulations, as well as implementing Group policies and internal procedures. International Matters: Providing support to Greenvolt Power Group on international legal issues as required, particularly in relation to the Group’s planned expansion into the Asia region. Bachelor’s degree in Law (required) Master’s degree in Law or a related field (preferred) Solid knowledge of Japanese laws and regulations, with the ability to apply them to corporate and commercial matters. Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts. Experience in handling corporate legal affairs, including litigation and dispute resolution, ideally in coordination with external counsel. Business-level proficiency in English or Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional setting. Preferred: Legal professional qualification such as Attorney at Law (Bengoshi), Judicial Scrivener (Shiho-shoshi), or other relevant certifications. Preferred: Experience in the renewable energy industry, real estate sector, or M&A transactions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess legal risks and propose practical solutions. High attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing legal documents and corporate records. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with internal stakeholders and external counsel. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
