Salary: Grade 3, SP 4 (FTE £24,404 / Actual £7,255 per annum)
Thomas Gainsborough School are seeking Leisure Centre Assistants to join their team. The successful candidates will represent and manage the bookings diary, Café and set up / clear activities at Cornard Leisure Centre. You will be part of a small team running the Centre and it’s bookings, ensuring that the Centre is checked to be safe and is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and safety for Customers and Staff throughout operational hours.
This role requires the applicant to be able to switch between lifeguard duties, reception and Café cover, working primarily from the Reception Desk and covering pool sessions as part of a team. Excellent communication skills are essential as well as a proactive attitude and the ability to be able to work with Customers and staff to resolve issues, while maintaining a high level of Customer Service alongside an active and busy diary across a large multi-activity site (see full job description for details).
As part of this position you must already hold, or be available to complete, a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) within 3 months of starting.
