JOB DESCRIPTION

The Four-Star Bloomfield House Hotel, located 5 minutes from Mullingar town, is currently recruiting for an experienced Leisure Club Manager. This is a hands-on role and requires a customer-focused individual who has excellent attention to detail and enjoys being in a customer-facing role. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 1 years’ previous experience as an assistant manager (or higher) managing a successful Leisure Centre is desired in similar facilities.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

The successful candidate should meet the following criteria:

  • Have a minimum of 1 years’ previous experience as an assistant manager (or higher) managing a successful Leisure Centre is desired in similar facilities.
  • A nationally recognised Fitness Instructors qualification or equivalent.
  • ILAM Pool Lifeguard or equivalent qualification.
  • Swim Teacher/Assistant Swim Teachers qualification.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of revenue generation, cost control and the achievement of targets.
  • Plant maintenance experience is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day running and operation of Bloomfield House Hotel Leisure Club
  • Ensure that a professional, excellent friendly service is always delivered to all our members and guests.
  • Build strong professional relationships with our members and guests.
  • Ensure the highest hygiene standards are consistently maintained.
  • Assist in the achievement of budgetary and agreed targets.
  • Ensure that all plant and equipment are maintained to the required standard.
  • Be innovative, keep on trend and adapt products accordingly in agreement with the team.
  • Encourage a culture of professionalism and teamwork within the Leisure Centre focusing on common goals, positivity, and effective communication.
  • Coordinate and manage the team and rosters in line with business needs.
