What you’ll bring to the team:
We are looking for a Leisure Operations Supervisor to join the team at Britain’s Greatest Escape!
The Leisure Operations Supervisor will play a critical leadership role in ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of leisure facilities, including the Waterpark and Extraordinary Golf. This role supervises Lifeguard and Senior Lifeguard teams, drives high standards of safety, guest experience, and operational excellence, while fostering a positive and motivated workforce. The Supervisor will also support staff development and act as a key link between frontline teams and senior management.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Operational Management

  • Manage daily opening, operation, and closing procedures of leisure facilities.

Safety & Compliance

  • Monitor and ensure completion of health and safety checks, including water quality and cleanliness.

Training & Development

  • Coordinate ongoing training to maintain staff certifications and skills.
  • Support career development pathways for Lifeguards and Senior Lifeguards.

Guest Experience Management

  • Handle escalated guest concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure team consistently delivers excellent customer service standards.

Performance Monitoring

  • Conduct regular performance reviews, spot checks, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Recognise and reward outstanding performance, address underperformance proactively.

Communication & Reporting

  • Act as liaison between Lifeguard teams and upper management.
  • Provide clear operational updates, reports, and insights to support continuous improvement.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist with Pool Plant operations to provide operational flexibility.
  • Take ownership of key performance indicators (KPIs) and support the reception operation.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience in leisure operations, preferably with supervisory or team leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of lifeguarding principles and certification, NPLQ, RLSS compliance, and pool safety standards.
  • Experience in staff development, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to manage multiple operational tasks efficiently under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to undertake further management and technical training as required.
