Our client is a leading service company. We are currently seeking a "Head of HR (m/f/d)" for them.

As Head of HR (m/f/d) you will lead our HR team and build structures that fit a down-to-earth medium-sized company with several locations: pragmatic, reliable and close to the people.

Your tasks:

• Leading the team: You lead the existing HR team, set clear priorities, and develop your colleagues both professionally and personally.
• Drive forward commercial recruiting: Technicians and skilled workers don't just fall from the sky. You will develop pragmatic recruiting methods and targeted personnel marketing to attract blue-collar workers for our locations in North Rhine-Westphalia and Hesse.
• Establish foundations & standards: You introduce transparent processes for employee reviews, performance appraisals and targeted leadership development – ​​without bureaucratic overhead.
• Building compensation structures: You will develop a transparent salary system (job evaluations, salary bands and annual salary reviews) that is fair and remains in line with market standards.
• Manage payroll and data quality: Payroll processing is outsourced – you ensure that the master data is correct, interfaces function smoothly, and payroll is processed on time and without errors.
• Keeping an eye on employment law: You are the first point of contact for our managers regarding employment law issues. For complex topics, you will be supported by an external specialist law firm.
• Local presence: You will regularly travel to our locations in North Rhine-Westphalia and Hesse to be close to the managers and teams.

This is what you bring with you

• Education: A completed degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Economic Psychology or a comparable qualification with sound HR experience
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a senior HR role – ideally in a medium-sized company in the trades, industry or service sector.
• A knack for blue-collar workers: You know how to approach, recruit, and retain blue-collar workers and technicians in the long term.
• Legal & organizational security: Sound basic knowledge of labor law as well as practical experience in developing compensation models.
• Working style: You take initiative, make well-founded decisions, and communicate clearly, directly, and reliably.
• Mobility: Willingness to commute flexibly between our locations in North Rhine-Westphalia and Hesse
