Description Purpose Serves as liaison between members and the credit union in both in-branch and back-office settings. Provides account information and performs a variety of file maintenance and monetary transactions. Funds consumer loans as needed. Organizational Standards An energetic, self-motivated, enthusiastic, “team player” to represent our credit union with members, prospective members, other staff and the community of Downey; while exercising sound business judgment, maintain a professional appearance and displaying a positive attitude. Primary Responsibilities Process loan payoff demands, reconveyances, and auto title releases. Funds consumer loans, as needed. Informs members of denials, and educates on a path to approval. Processes approved loan modification requests – due date, rate change, etc Provide timely and courteous service by processing and receiving transactions in a professional and efficient manner, and answering member and/or vendor questions. Efficiently analyze and assess member’s financial needs and suggest Credit Union services that will exceed member expectations by selling and cross-selling Credit Union products, obtaining required documents from the member to open accounts and performing required computer input accurately according to Credit Union policies, procedures and in compliance with banking regulation. Maintains a comprehensive understanding of the features and benefits of all credit union products and services in order to offer the most appropriate products to members. Keeps abreast of marketing promotions and educates members on new credit union benefits and offerings if needed. Display a proactive team approach and assist where needed to provide customer service, communicating and working with others to create an exceptional member experience. Completes DMV and related forms to perfect the credit union’s security interest in property taken as collateral. Serves as a commissioned notary public and keeps abreast of regulations governing this service. Participates in Credit Union sponsored community events. Performs all other related duties as required by management. Requirements Employment Requirements Ability to be bonded, required. Understand basic accounting principles. Ability to use office machines as required for their position and understands EDP concepts. Favorable written and communication skills. Demonstrate good analytical and decision-making skills. Successful completion of required background checks and obtainment of a Unique Identifier from the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS). Minimum Job Requirements High school graduate; secondary education preferred. Two (2) years of credit union or other lending experience Basic personal computer knowledge (Word, Excel)
