Responsibilities

THE ROLE: LENOVO BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

As a Business Development Manager, you will gain valuable experience in selling technology solutions, including Datacentre Infrastructure, Networking, and Services. Your sales expertise will help you achieve KPIs and meet sales targets.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Build and nurture strong business relationships with allocated partners, aligning with Lenovo’s priorities and strategies. Identify cross- and up-selling opportunities to drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with partners to understand their goals and develop growth plans to ensure mutual success.
  • Win mindshare within allocated partners by organizing and delivering Sales and Technical Enablement (with support from the Westcoast Pre-Sales Team).
  • Assist with program management, including Certifications & Accreditations, and manage your Partner’s Partner Status.
  • Serve as a Trusted Advisor and Safe Pair of Hands for Lenovo and partners, ensuring we are the preferred Distributor for Lenovo opportunities.
  • Work alongside vendor and internal teams to facilitate the successful execution of activities from your Joint Business Plan.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of marketing plans.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with key stakeholders at Partner, Westcoast, and Lenovo through both phone and face-to-face interactions.
  • Effectively leverage available internal resources (sales, presales, etc.) to support partner success.
  • Work from the Westcoast office unless attending customer/vendor events and meetings.
  • Pipeline Management:
  • Forecasting top deals into management, liaising with Account Managers (partner and Lenovo) as required.

  • Opportunity Development and Closure

  • Proactively work with Account Managers (partner and Lenovo) to increase Lenovo Share of Wallet within your Partner, and in your Partner’s active customer base

  • Accelerate deal closure and grow deal size wherever possible
  • Managing incentives/promotions across your Partner’s sales force

  • Experience in a high-pressure sales environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Experience in creating business plans and strategic objectives.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and email applications.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
