Our client, a well-established property company, is launching an exciting new branch and is seeking a dedicated and proactive Lettings Manager to lead this venture. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in setting up and driving the success of a new office from the ground up. The successful candidate will be instrumental in building the lettings team, establishing operational excellence, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction while maximising rental income. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a deep understanding of the UK lettings market.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in a similar lettings or property management role, ideally within a leadership capacity.
  • Strong administrative skills and high attention to detail for accurate documentation and record keeping.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with tenants, landlords, and internal teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment while maintaining service quality.
  • Multilingual abilities are highly desirable to support communication with a diverse clientele.
  • Sound knowledge of lettings legislation, compliance, and best practices in the UK property sector.
  • Experience in launching or managing a new office or team is a distinct advantage.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the launch and day-to-day operations of the new lettings branch, ensuring all processes align with company standards.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing lettings team to meet business targets.
  • Develop and implement innovative marketing strategies to build the branch’s presence and attract prospective tenants.
  • Conduct property viewings and provide comprehensive information to potential tenants.
  • Negotiate tenancy agreements, ensuring full compliance with current lettings legislation and company policies.
  • Establish strong relationships with local landlords, providing regular updates and resolving issues promptly.
  • Oversee tenancy applications, referencing, renewals, and tenancy terminations.
  • Ensure all properties are professionally presented and liaise with maintenance teams for necessary works.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of lettings activities to support operational transparency and efficiency.
