JOB SUMMARY:

Aneurin Leisure is seeking motivated and skilled individuals to join our team as a Level 1 Swimming Instructor or Level 2 Swimming Instructor. This role focuses on supporting and delivering our learn-to-swim programme across various sports centres in Blaenau Gwent. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a Level 2 Swimming instructor to provide high-quality swimming lessons to participants.

We are looking for an enthusiastic swimming instructor to become a part of our sport and fitness team. You will assist in and deliver swimming lessons as part of Aneurin Leisure’s learn-to-swim programme across Blaenau Gwent.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Must possess a Level 1 Swimming Assistant Qualification or higher swimming qualification.
• Competency in monitoring performance and managing swim lesson data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and develop children in their swimming education.
• Flexible approach to teaching.

• Assist in the planning and delivery of swimming lessons.
• Oversee and coordinate swimming sessions to ensure they meet high-quality standards.
• Adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet the needs of each learner and the swimming pathway.
• Monitor and assess participants’ performance.
• Maintain punctuality, organization, and manage data related to swim lesson provisions.
• Lead, develop, and motivate children to help them achieve their swimming goals.
