JOB OVERVIEW

As an Assistant Supervisor, you will utilize your expertise in Early Childhood Education to enhance the growth and quality of the Might Learners District’s before and after-school program. You will serve as the primary support to the Programs Director/Supervisor, fulfilling the responsibilities of an alternate supervisor and room lead. This role requires close collaboration with the Supervisor, families, and Calgary Christian School staff to foster an inclusive environment.
In your capacity as a room lead, you will design and implement engaging and enjoyable activities that promote learning and development. Your overarching objective will be to provide a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment that acknowledges and respects each child’s individuality, cultural background, and family values. You will create a dynamic atmosphere that supports children’s holistic development by effectively utilizing time, space, and materials in ways that celebrate their abilities and nurture their potential.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have a valid Level 1-3 ECE certfication
• Current First Aid and CPR certification (preferred)
• Clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check.
• Proven classroom experience in an early childhood setting is essential.
• Strong teaching skills with the ability to engage young learners effectively.
• Background in early childhood education or a related field is required.
• Experience supporting children’s developmental needs is beneficial.

  Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
  Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
