EXPERIENCE: MUST BE LEVEL 1

Advanced training, experience, and work as level 1 behavior technician.
Enrolled in advanced-level program or master’s program to receive board certification behavior analysis license.
As directed by the BCBA (Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst), the Level 1 BT trainer will provide training, guidance, support, and maintenance training for behavior therapists.
Essential components of this position are listed below, but this post does not provide an exhaustive list of duties that may be assigned.

BASIC & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods.
· Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods.
· Must have the manual dexterity to perform specific computer and electronic device functions for data collection.
· Must be physically present at the assigned job location, which may include home, school, and community placements.
· Must be able to receive detailed information through oral communication and written direction.
· Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication through a computer, electronic devices, and paper means.

Responsibilities

· Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training arrangements.
· Implement protocols, and treatment plans developed by the Behavior Analyst.
· Collaborate with the treatment team, including clients, parents and caregivers, occupational and speech therapists, outside professionals, and co-workers.
· Assist with the client’s individualized treatment and behavior reduction protocols.
· Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.
· Utilize safe & appropriate handling procedures when working with clients.
· Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA laws.
· Assist the Behavior Analyst and Behavior Therapist Supervisors in preparing client materials as instructed.
· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment.
· Training provided to acquire and maintain technical knowledge.
