Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Missouri Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a part-time Level 1 Medication Aide to join our team at Fulton Reception and Diagnostic Correctional Center located in Fulton, Missouri. The Level 1 Medication Aide Under the direction of the facility Director of Nursing / nursing designee, administers medications as prescribed; and documents the medication effectiveness and any noted adverse actions or side effects. Part Time-Day/Evening/Night shifts Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Preferred to have current active Level 1 Medication Aide certification from the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) or the Department of Mental Health (DMH) which may also be referred to as DD Medication Aide (mo.tmutest.com). Insulin certification preferred. Must complete required continuing education to maintain certification (minimum of four (4) hours of medication administration training every two (2) years). Required training will be documented and maintained in Employee File. Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR/AED certification. If not already Level 1 Medication Aide certified – applicant must successfully complete internal level one medication aide and insulin training to maintain employment beyond probationary period. Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable. One year experience in acute care, emergency or correctional setting preferred. INDMHM
Responsibilities
The Level 1 Medication Aide administers prescribed medications under the direction of the facility Director of Nursing or their designee. This role also involves documenting the effectiveness of the medication and noting any adverse actions or side effects observed.
