OVERVIEW

justteachers are excited to be working with lively Primary School in Melton Mowbray, who are looking to appoint a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis after October half-term. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a supportive and welcoming environment.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing tailored support to students with a variety of additional learning needs. You will work closely with the classroom teacher to implement individual learning plans, assist with classroom management, and support the emotional and academic development of students.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working with children, particularly in special education settings or private schools.
  • Knowledge of American Sign Language is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management techniques.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff.
  • Background in early childhood education or childhood development preferred.
  • Experience with Montessori methods or literacy education is desirable.
  • Ability to manage a classroom effectively while providing individualized attention to students.

Responsibilities
