We are looking for some new swimming teachers to join our team. We have venues across Shropshire, Chester and the Wirral and we are looking to expand further.
We are looking for teachers who can work at our Chester venue for the following permanent shifts.
Tuesday 6.30pm-7.30pm
Thursday 4-7.30pm
Friday 4 .30pm-2pm
Saturday 11.30-2pm
We also need a permanent teacher on a Sunday afternoon at Meadowside School, in Woodchurch on the Wirral
Rate of pay depends on qualifications and experience, up to £20p/h.
Applicants must have their Swim England level 2 swimming teachers certificate, or the STA equivalent versions. Any water safety qualifications would be a bonus, but not mandatory. Please DO NOT apply if you do not have your swimming teaching qualifications.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in sports coaching or teaching is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of swimming techniques and water safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with students of all ages.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment while also demonstrating initiative as an individual instructor.
  • Certification in CPR, First Aid, or lifeguarding is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • A genuine passion for teaching and helping others develop their swimming abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct swimming lessons for individuals and groups of varying skill levels.
  • Develop tailored lesson plans that cater to the specific needs and goals of each participant.
  • Educate students on water safety practices and the importance of swimming skills.
  • Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to students to enhance their performance.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment in and around the swimming area.
  • Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child’s progress and any concerns.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to improve instructional skills.
