Position: Level 2 Teaching Assistant
Location: Mansfield
Salary: £19,000 - £21,000
Contract: Permanent (Full-Time & Part-Time Available)
Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Term-Time Only
Start Date: September
Bonus: Fully funded Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification after 6 months

WHAT YOU NEED (NON-NEGOTIABLE)

• ✅ Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or Level 2 Childcare qualification
• ✅ At least 1 year of experience working with children in a classroom or school-based setting
• ✅ A genuine passion for helping children who find mainstream education tough
• ✅ Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect on a human level

THIS IS NOT YOUR AVERAGE TA ROLE

• No 30-child classrooms
• No one-size-fits-all curriculum
• No getting lost in the noise

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Support students in community-based settings like learning hubs, sports centres, or youth spaces
• Provide tailored 1:1 academic and emotional support
• Help build self-belief, routine, and resilience
• Collaborate with tutors and other TAs to adapt learning to each child’s needs
• Transport students between learning spaces when needed (mileage fully reimbursed)
