• Contribute to planning and implementation of appropriate activities for children, in accordance with ages and stages of development.
• Have the confidence to develop good working relationships with parents/carers.
• Ensure all development and learning records are fully and accurately maintained.
• Support the development of good practice with regards to additional needs and inclusion of children from differing cultures and religious backgrounds.
• Have sound knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and promote good practice.
• Have sound knowledge and experience of being a key person.
• Understand the need for, and implement a stimulating and enriched environment both indoors and outdoors.
• Encourage each child to become independent, self-motivated and eager to learn.
• Work well within a team and support the lead practitioner.
