JOB OVERVIEW

Are you a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator?

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with young children in a nursery setting. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to manage a classroom effectively, and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children.

The right candidate will have a minimum of 1 year’s experience of working directly within early years.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting is essential.
  • A qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire young learners.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively while promoting positive behaviour among children.
  • A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to continuous professional development.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of a recognised Level 3 Childcare qualification, e.g. Level 3 Diploma for the Children & Young People’s Workforce, NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development – or be working towards completion
  • Completion of Safeguarding Awareness course (Group 2)
  • Health & Safety certificate
  • First Aid certificate

  • Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote the development of children aged 0-5 years.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages exploration and discovery.
  • Observe and assess children’s progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their development.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships within the nursery community.
  • Drive initiatives that enhance children’s learning experiences while managing daily classroom activities.
  • Collaborate with other educators to ensure a cohesive approach to early years education.
  • Maintain accurate records of children’s progress and contribute to the overall management of the nursery.
