Responsible To: Manager, Deputy Manager and Room Leads
Main Responsibilities
- Safeguard all children within the nursery through adhering to and implementing the Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy and Procedure.
- Create and maintain a safe and positive learning environment in partnership with the children.
- Support children’s learning based upon their interests and individual learning styles.
- To attend all out of working hours activities, e.g. two training days a year, monthly staff meetings, parents events and open days.
- To undergo continuous professional development, through the attendance of in-house and external training, including supervision and appraisals.
- Recording accidents/incidents on the relevant form; ensuring the manager has signed the report before the parent receives it.
- Ensure each child or is collected by someone known to nursery following policy
- To respect the confidentiality of information received.
- To ensure the consistent provision of a high-quality environment to meet the needs of individual children from differing cultures, religious backgrounds and stages of development.
- Give guidance and support to others and report any practice that is not good or outstanding.
- Liaise with the Local Authority and others professionals associated with the Nursery.
- To follow the correct medication procedure
- To understand and deliver outstanding practice
