Justteachers recruitment agency are recruiting on behalf of a partner primary school, in the Peterborough area, for a level 3 Teaching Assistant.
This modern highly supportive and inclusive educational setting will be shortlisting candidates in the next few weeks ready for their new intake of children. The position will initially be on a long-term supply basis with the opportunity to become a permanent staff member after an initial probationary period.
The school is a larger than average rural primary school that serves a diverse community. Public transport is limited and so access to your own vehicle is recommended

Responsibilities:

  • Patience and nurturing attitude to support children’s emotional and social development
  • Creativity and resourcefulness in planning activities and supporting children’s learning
  • Assist the teacher in delivering the KS2 curriculum
  • Monitor and support children’s emotional and social development
  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers providing feedback on children’s progress/achievements
  • Foster confidence, independence, and social skills in pupils.

What we are looking for:

  • Level 3 qualification Teaching Assistant Qualification (or equivalent)
  • Referenceable experience working with young children with Primary Education or similar setting within the last two years
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A team player with a proactive attitude
  • A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: £89.00-£100.00 per day
