    Now Education are supporting a fantastic SEND School that caters for pupils aged 11-19 with; physical disabilities, autism, sensory impairment, and profound and multiple learning difficulties.
    We are recruiting for Level 3 Teaching Assistants (Part time and Full time) that hold experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs that are seeking work within schools (term time only). Prior experience is essential due to the needs of the pupils.
    A great benefit of working as supply is the enormous flexibility in the role. This allows day-to-day work to be an avenue for gaining varied experience while also encouraging long-term opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with a range of needs in their learning and personal development
  • Contributing to the school’s inclusive and nurturing environment
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and other staff to deliver tailored educational experiences.

Applicant requirements:

  • Extensive experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with severe learning difficulties and/or autism
  • Confident de-escalating any associated behaviours
  • Confident supporting toileting and personal care needs where required

Desirable skills and qualifications:

  • Wide ranging SEND experience (Complex ASC/SLD)
  • Training and experience in communication methods such as Makaton, PECS, ALBs, Communication in Print
