We are actively seeking an Incident Response for a contract position. This person will be responsible for monitoring critical systems incident from a Tier 1 perspective. This person should have a strong background in application incidence management, using playbook and runbook documentation to escalate if needed, and notifying critical development teams of tickets to help solution. This individual will also be documenting procedures, monitoring dashboards, and recognizing incident trends and conducting analysis. This person will be using ServiceNow for ticket monitoring.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor and respond to system alerts and notifications from various platforms, including cloud environments (Azure, AWS), network, applications, servers, and databases.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve basic technical issues related to system performance, connectivity, and cloud resources.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the appropriate technical team or senior analyst.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of incidents, including steps taken, resolutions, and any follow-up actions required.
  • Perform routine checks and reports on system health and performance, focusing on both on-premises and cloud-based systems.
  • Provide first-level support for clients and end-users, troubleshooting issues through phone, email, or ticketing systems.
  • Assist in maintaining the integrity and availability of critical systems by responding to alerts and performing preventive tasks, including those within cloud platforms like Azure and AWS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve incident response times and overall operational efficiency.
  • Maintain knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies in monitoring, especially in cloud environments like Azure and AWS, to ensure continual improvement.
    Location: Onsite 3 days a week in Evansville, IN
    Duration: 6-month contract with possible extensions
