Job DetailsJob Location: SHAWNEE, OK 74804SCOPE: Under the direction of the supervisor, workers perform production, maintenance or janitorial duties as assigned to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, yield and Cost goals. Each operator is responsible for and has the necessary authority to ensure quality, including stopping production to correct quality non-conformance. SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS: Uses appropriate safety measures Uses appropriate measurement equipment and techniques as trained Records and maintains documentation and data as required. Follows applicable work instructions. Uses good housekeeping skills to maintain the work area. Follows directions and instructions of all supervisory personnel. Maintains good relations with co-workers, management and visitors. Performs other duties as assigned. TOOLING & EQUIPMENT: Assorted hand tools, O.D. and wall micrometers. PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION: To produce a quality level wound coil to the customer’s specifications. SECONDARY JOB FUNCTION: Direct the flow of material so as to keep the level winder operating at its maximum efficiency. JOB DESCRIPTION: Obtain the proper production order to be processed. Check incoming material to see that it meets the customer’s specifications. Make all necessary equipment checks to see that level winder is ready to operate. Check eddy current tester for proper setting. Operate level winder at maximum efficiency and to quality specifications. Remove finished coil to banding station. Perform all record keeping as needed. Keep assigned machinery and work area neat, clean, and orderly. Follow all safety and shop rules. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. SPECIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must exercise high degree of visual alertness. Must have high regard for quality. Must be able to set up, maintain, trouble shoot, and clean up printer.
