OVERVIEW

Based at Barnstaple in North Devon our team is on hand to help you with all your recycling, waste disposal and hazardous waste disposal requirements.
We offer a complete waste disposal solution including skip hire, recycling, hazardous material removal, scrap recycling and waste electrical recycling.
We have an opportunity for an LGV Driver / Operator to drive and operate vehicles and plant efficiently and in accordance our legislative requirements.
Based at our Barnstaple depot, we are looking for a driver who holds a Category C licence and has experience of operating LGV vehicles in a commercial environment.
This role would suit a self-motivated and positive individual who enjoys working as part of a customer focused team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Full Driving Licence
  • Hold a full valid Class C licence.
  • To hold a Driver CPC
  • Experience of Road Transport Operations

Responsibilities
  • Use the correct equipment for the job and see that it is maintained correctly.
  • Ensure the legal requirements are complied with by following the work instructions provided and EMS procedures as indicated by line management.
  • Prepare Tachograph Disc as required by law and ensure that hours and working arrangements are within legal limits.
  • Take all necessary precautions for the safety of people, vehicles and plant as per Health and Safety legislation.
  • Carry out Driver’s maintenance correctly, at the correct intervals, and report all vehicle equipment/container faults immediately by the approved system.
