Description Position Summary: The Liaison Engineer-Electrical serves as the critical bridge between engineering design, manufacturing, and quality control for our low-voltage power distribution equipment. This role will ensure manufacturing feasibility of designs, provide on-site technical support, and drive continuous improvement in our production processes. The position requires hands-on engineering expertise combined with excellent communication skills to facilitate collaboration across departments. Key Responsibilities: Production Support & Troubleshooting: provide on-the-spot solutions for manufacturing problems, such as improperly fitting parts or defective materials, often participating in Material Review Boards (MRB). Engineering Liaison: bridge the gap between design engineers (who create the blueprints) and manufacturing teams (who build them), ensuring design intent is met. Discrepant Material Handling: evaluate damaged, non-conforming, or malfunctioning parts and determine necessary repairs or rework instructions. Design Modification: draft repair drawings and recommend, and sometimes design, tools or methods for maximum production efficiency. Documentation & Compliance: ensure all repairs and modifications follow safety and technical specifications, documenting changes to maintain quality control. Qualifications: Education: A bachelor's degree in engineering Strong knowledge of CAD systems, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and root cause analysis. 3-5 years of previous experience in a manufacturing or repair environment Creativity: solving solution from fresh perspective. Core Competencies & Behaviors: Mechanical Problem-Solving & MRB: Ability to analyze structural/technical issues and disposition repairs using Material Review Board (MRB) procedures. Engineering Knowledge: Deep understanding of engineering principles, blueprints, CAD, and design specifications. Cross-Functional Communication: Acting as the primary liaison between production, quality control, and design teams. Production Support: Providing real-time support on the shop floor to resolve manufacturing bottlenecks. Quality Compliance: Ensuring all products adhere to company, regulatory, and quality standards.
