Position Overview:
Reporting to the Medical Director for the Nordics, the Liaison Medical Science/Field Advisor will be an integral part of implementing medical plans to support the commercialization of current and future products. This field-based, non-promotional role focuses on Denmark and Norway, particularly in neuroscience. Key responsibilities include providing medical information, fostering collaborations with healthcare professionals (HCPs), and facilitating scientific exchanges to increase understanding of the client’s products. This position must comply with all regulatory, legal, and ethical standards, including GCP, IFPMA, and local compliance guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Launch Preparation:
  • Identify and engage key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, patient representatives, payers, and pharmacists.
  • Analyze market dynamics and understand the patient journey to guide strategic decisions.
  • Medical Information and Support:
  • Provide accurate, unbiased medical information to both internal and external stakeholders as needed.
  • Organize and deliver scientific and educational meetings in alignment with regulatory standards.
  • Ensure correct representation of medicines in local and national protocols, guidelines, and formularies.
  • Scientific Expertise:
  • Maintain up-to-date expertise in neuroscience and product knowledge.
  • Represent the company at scientific congresses and support Key External Expert (KEE) activities.
  • Offer medical guidance in neuroscience, aligning with clinical practice protocols.
  • Support for Research Initiatives:
  • Facilitate local execution of company-sponsored studies and projects.
  • Evaluate and respond to Investigator-Initiated Research (IIR) proposals.
  • Support lifecycle management for neuroscience products.
  • External Relationship Development:
  • Build strong relationships with National and Local KEEs for effective scientific collaboration.
  • Develop a strategic contact database across products and therapeutic areas.
  • Provide scientific support for national advocacy initiatives.
  • Medical Affairs Planning:
  • Contribute to the Nordic Medical Plan by offering strategic and tactical input.
  • Manage the medical budget to ensure effective execution of plans.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support Key Account Management approaches.
  • Adherence to Compliance and Ethical Standards:
  • Uphold national and local Codes of Practice and ethical guidelines.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, reflecting the company’s mission and values.
  • Maintain a personal development plan and provide timely activity reports as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in critically analyzing complex data.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Expertise in neuroscience, especially within the Nordics.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in at least one Nordic language strongly preferred.

Education and Licenses:

  • Advanced degree in a scientific field (e.g., PhD, PharmD, MSc).
