KNOWLEDGE:
- you have demonstrate knowledge of library procedures and practices pertaining to circulation, reference, cataloguing, minor book repair, inter-library loans and serials/publications management in order to provide library services
- you have knowledge of library policies and guidelines to operate, maintain and provide a variety of library services
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- you have demonstrated experience with computers and software applications to utilize automated systems to input, update, retrieve and search data, prepare correspondence and reports
ANALYTICAL SKILLS:
- you have proven analytical skills to perform descriptive cataloguing of library materials, to search for books and other materials using the inter-library loan procedures
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
- you have effective communication skills to provide information to library users on stock, borrowing process, inter-library loan process and services and circulation services
- you can demonstrate tact and courtesy in your interactions with library users, to instruct and maintain control of offender helpers and in dealing with behavioural issues as they arise
