Responsibilities

FIND PURPOSE AND IMPACT

You have a passion for helping people. You have experience in delivering front facing customer service, are customer focused and tech savvy with a can-do attitude. You enjoy providing high quality customer services to the community. You will be organised, self-motivated and value the opportunity to work as part of a team. As a casual library assistant, you will enjoy a role where no two days are the same! You will work in a customer facing environment assisting customers with accessing library resources and facilities.
This is a casual position, which will be required to work at our Coolah, Dunedoo and Mendooran libraries.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Support customers in the use of library facilities, resources and PC applications.
  • Deliver excellent face to face customer service to all library users.
  • Issue and return library materials.
  • Re-shelving and shelf reading.
  • Operate library equipment.Respond to borrowers’ enquiries and provide basic information services.

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Higher School Certificate.
  • Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated experience in providing excellent customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
  • Strong computer literacy and understanding of common software packagesA current working with children check
