Join City of Moreton Bay as a Library Branch Leader, and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.

In this leadership role, you’ll guide a team of 11 to deliver dynamic library services that foster community engagement and exceptional customer experiences. You will also:

  • manage local library collections aligned to community needs
  • build relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • oversee business planning, service reporting and services outcomes
  • manage and maintain library facilities and venue
  • review and enhance services to support strategic projects and innovation

This role sits within our Cultural Services Department, which includes Galleries, Heritage and Museums, Libraries, Arts and Cultural Activation. Our library service aims to provide engaging leisure and learning experiences by connecting people to resources and each other. We strive for excellence in delivering information, collections, programs and spaces for our customers.
Council currently has libraries located at Albany Creek, Arana Hills, Bribie Island, Burpengary, Caboolture, Deception Bay, North Lakes, Redcliffe, Strathpine and Woodford.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for a proactive, passionate leader who is experienced and knowledgeable in the delivery of public library services. You’re also:

  • skilled in developing positive and productive relationships across teams and with community stakeholders
  • experienced in building team capability and fostering inclusive, connected workplaces
  • well-versed in strategic planning, financial management, business reporting and documentation
  • comfortable managing complex projects and driving innovation in service delivery

This position requires the successful applicant to be available to work any 5 out of 7 days as part of the ordinary hours.
