Description

Wabash Carnegie Public Library is more than just books—it’s the heart of a vibrant, engaged community. With our newly expanded and renovated facility, we’re proud to serve as a hub for lifelong learning, cultural enrichment, and essential services. Now, as our current director prepares to pursue new opportunities, we are seeking the next Executive Director to guide us into the future.
As the library’s chief administrator, you’ll provide both big-picture leadership and day-to-day management. Reporting to the Library Board of Trustees, you’ll oversee budgeting, staffing, facilities, and community partnerships—all while championing the library as a cornerstone of the Wabash community.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MLIS (ALA-accredited) required
  • 3–5 years of progressively responsible leadership experience (public library preferred)
  • Strong skills in budgeting, staff supervision, and facilities management
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
