ROLE: Library, Health and Wellbeing Co Ordinator
REPORTS TO: Library Health & Wellbeing Manager
MAIN PLACE OF WORK: Moulton Community Centre - Sandy Hill, Reedings, Moulton, Northants, NN3 7AX

Responsibilities

ROLE PURPOSE

  1. To support the day-to-day running of Moulton Library Health & Wellbeing Hub as directed by the Library Health & Wellbeing Manager or, in their absence, the Assistant Library Health & Wellbeing Manager.
  2. To support the delivery of the Health & Wellbeing Strategy for Moulton and the surrounding areas.
  3. To assist the Library Health & Wellbeing Manager in the development of events and services to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for residents.
  4. To provide information, support, and advice to all Library Health & Wellbeing Hub users.
  5. To actively engage with health and wellbeing stakeholders including volunteers, service users, carers, and advocacy organisations.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Support library users by responding to enquiries, assisting with locating and reserving books, guiding them in the use of library resources such as computers and photocopiers, registering new members, issuing library cards, and organising returned materials.
  2. Plan, prepare, and deliver arts, crafts, and other engaging activities, research new ideas to promote wellbeing for all ages, and assist with the planning and delivery of events and community programmes.
  3. Help individuals and families access timely, accurate information, support, and formal services as needed.
  4. Work with volunteers and local champions to deliver community-led services and activities.
  5. Take delegated responsibility for specific projects and initiatives, ensuring successful delivery and outcomes.
  6. Proactively network with hard-to-reach groups and support connections between individuals, communities, and organisations.
  7. Ensure a safe environment for all users by adhering to health and safety policies and practices.
  8. Use appropriate outreach and engagement tools and understand local safeguarding policies for adults and children.
  9. Undertake any other duties as required by the Council.
  10. Maintain confidentiality and declare any conflicts of interest in accordance with policy.

ROLE PURPOSE

  1. The Health and Wellbeing Administrator will play a vital role in supporting the financial and administrative operations of Moulton Community Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO). This includes ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, supporting budgeting and grant processes, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the organisation’s health and wellbeing programmes. The role also involves managing grant applications, maintaining compliance with funder requirements, and keeping the CIO website up to date.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Maintain accurate financial records by entering data into accounting systems and databases.
  2. Process invoices and payments, and support employees with financial procedures and documentation.
  3. Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements for internal and external use.
  4. Monitor expenses and support the development and tracking of budgets.
  5. Reconcile bank statements and identify discrepancies or irregularities.
  6. Research financial information to support cost-saving initiatives and improve efficiency.
  7. Identify and research potential grant opportunities aligned with the organisation’s mission and strategic objectives.
  8. Assist in preparing and submitting high-quality grant applications, including liaising with colleagues to draft narratives, develop financial budgets and collect required documentation.
  9. Liaise with grant-making bodies and funding agencies to clarify requirements and respond to queries.
  10. Monitor the progress of funded projects to ensure compliance with grant conditions, timelines and budget allocations.
  11. Compile and submit progress and final reports to funders as required.
  12. Support the planning and coordination of health and wellbeing projects, including maintaining accurate financial documentation.
  13. Maintain records of project spending, grants, and donations.
  14. Regularly update and maintain content on the CIO website, ensuring information is accurate and current.
  15. Work with relevant staff to publish announcements, reports, and updates related to health and wellbeing initiatives using social media and newsletters
  16. Ensure that reasonable care is always taken for the health, safety and welfare of yourself and other persons, and to comply with the policies and procedures relating to health and safety within the department.
  17. To undertake any other associated duties from time to time as specified by the council.
  18. To ensure confidentiality is maintained where necessary and any other conflicts of interest declared.
