Library Services Co-ordinator Permanent Grade C - £35,412 - £44,075     Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Equal Pay Programme  Working 21.9 hours per week Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service in one of the UK’s most iconic public libraries? The Library of Birmingham is looking for a proactive, people‑focused Customer Services Coordinator to help lead our front‑of‑house services and ensure every visitor enjoys a welcoming, inspiring experience. As a leading member of our customer-facing team, you’ll coordinate the day‑to‑day delivery of core public services across the Library of Birmingham. Regularly fulfilling the role of duty manager within the building, you will take responsibility for ensuring the safe, efficient, and legal day-to-day operations of the building.  You’ll be a visible, positive ambassador for the library, working closely with colleagues, partners, volunteers, and community groups to support the delivery of a huge range of library services, events, exhibitions, and activities. This is a hands‑on role where no two days are the same - perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic, public‑facing environment. You’ll play a key role in shaping how thousands of people experience the Library of Birmingham every week - supporting learning, culture, and community in the heart of the city. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality public service.
