We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to manage the creation and maintenance of branch rosters while ensuring compliance with relevant policies, guidelines, and processes. This role also oversees payroll submissions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established procedures.
As part of the libraries team, you will contribute to administrative tasks as needed and work across our library service to deliver outstanding face-to-face customer experiences. You will also take on the Officer in Charge role when required, leading by example in customer service, supervising staff, and effectively resolving any issues that arise.
Shifts may be allocated across various locations and will include evening and weekend hours.
If you thrive in a dynamic environment and have a keen eye for operational efficiency, we’d love to hear from you.
This position is a 12-month parental leave cover; however, the duration may be subject to EA parental parameters.

  • Collaborating closely with the Operations Librarian and Library Service Development Coordinator to assess branch needs and efficiently allocate staff, including filling vacant shifts.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with a large team of permanent and casual staff.
  • Creating rosters in a timely manner to meet both organisational and community needs.
  • Responding to and managing staff queries related to rosters and payroll.
  • Working as part of branch teams to deliver exceptional face-to-face customer service across our five libraries.
