What You'll Be Doing Wake County Public Libraries is seeking a dynamic Youth Services Manager with strong leadership skills for West Regional Library! Wake County Public Libraries is seeking a Youth Services Manager (Library Supervisor) for its newly renovated West Regional Library located in western Cary, NC. You will work as part of a management team at the library, and more specifically, supervise a team of librarians and library assistants who work in the Youth Services Department providing dynamic programs and services to children of all ages. As a Department Manager, you will also collaborate with your peers and librarians from across the system to create and promote quality children’s programming and services. Key Responsibilities of a Department Manager: Supervise a team of Librarians and Library Assistants in providing programs and services to children birth through teen and their caregivers. Work as part of a management team at your regional library to ensure quality service and efficient operations Serve as the Manager on Duty as needed Collaborate with senior management and/or peers across the system on projects and initiatives Managers typically work 8:00-5:00 or 8:15-5:15, with a weekday 12:15-9:15 shift, and a regular weekend rotation.
