  • Drive engagement with infringers and customers with tailored strategies and methods for negotiating resolution to unauthorized use of DS software.


    • Engage infringing parties with well-prepared evidence and negotiate settlements that include past use and sell licensing if needed going forward

    • Understand DS products and offerings so can determine nature of infringement and understand how to settle
    • Develop and determine Engagement Type models to best address CVE/Geography dynamics.


      • Engage directly with infringer on compliance actions where a Direct Engagement is optimal.

      • In the Volume Piracy Program, manage the program with Law Firms that issue soft and standard compliance letters with respect to qualified leads. Guarantee all leads are followed up with phone calls and visits, where appropriate. Ensure the escalation process is evaluated by the Law Firm before closing, via Law Firm-initiated reminder letters issued to non-responders. Draft tailored letters, where appropriate, and submit to the Law Firm.
      • Partner with internal/external Legal teams to use court systems when necessary to resolve infringement of licenses.
      • Engage with Law Enforcement or Trade Body to disrupt or remove, through enforcement action, those organizations and individuals involved in the illegal distribution of DS products.
      • Generate, investigate, and execute quality opportunities within the Customer Value Engagement, across the Region, using all available sources.
      • Proactively engage and update technology solutions to aid identification of software infringement.
      • Develop, review, and enhance the infrastructure for the engagement of third parties worldwide who have been engaged to support or advance the strategy of the anti-piracy and compliance program.
      • Monitor, control, and coordinate activities amongst Investigation Firms, Audit Firms and Law Firms in compliance-related actions within the region of designated responsibility.
      • Provide accurate and timely forecasting of revenue and measurements of results.
      • Manage the business with respect to the Expense to Revenue ratio (E/R) and the optimal Return on Investment (ROI).
      • Work closely with the business to ensure that compliance leads are entered into, and maintained in, My Client Engagement (MCE) and DSX.CLIENT Order, in a timely and accurate manner.
      • Manage, populate, and maintain the EXALEAD License Compliance Case Management System in a timely and accurate manner.
      • Support and work with the business to ensure that opportunities are created by the relevant responsible person within each Customer Value Engagement, and that they are properly managed in My Client Engagement (MCE) and DSX.CLIENT Order, in a timely and accurate manner.
      • Investigate those organizations and individuals involved in the distribution of illegal/counterfeit DS products.
      • Should be educated to Bachelor’s degree level at a minimum
      • Experience in License Compliance or a role that required a focus on analytical and investigative activities as well as negotiation experience with customers
      • Sales Experience preferred for some roles
      • Technical and DS Product Knowledge including Licensing/Contracts preferred
      • Experience in legal activities including settlement agreements and enforcement a plus
